Dzotzil is a town inside the town of Pomuch, located 20 minutes away by car and 45 minutes to an hour by bicycle. What few people know is that this "secret" place houses the remains of a former hacienda with an architectural style from the 16th century and a community around it, mostly Mayan speakers.
Another fact about this town, although there is almost no documentation about it, is that it is called "the place of the bats" and most of its inhabitants are adults and the elderly, who vaguely speak Spanish.
